The history of textile is surely vivid and colorful and making clothes through knitting and stitching are two utterly interesting milestones in the evolution of cloth making. Today marks the age where textile mills are an important sector playing its drastic role socia-economically and particularly Pakistan ranks as the 8th largest exporter of textile products in Asia.
The textile industry is the largest manufacturing industry in Pakistan. The country is 4th largest producer and 3rd largest consumer of cotton. Pakistan is the 8th largest exporter of textile products in Asia it comprises of 46% of the total manufacturing sector and provides employment to 40% of the total labor force. TEVTA has 2 of its service centres in the Manchester of Pakistan: the Faisalabad and one at Jhang, with a sole purpose of supplying a competent workforce to ndustry and opening doors of huge opportunities to our countrymen.

My father had his own business. I saw him working hours and hours to make the both ends meet. I had an early interest in stitching and wanted to learn this art to support my father. I never knew where to go what to do, and how to make my dreams come true. A friend of mine introduced to me Govt. Institute of Textile Technology; thus, took in admission. This institute helped me to flourish my area of interest and equipped me with required skills. Now I am running my own export business and making up more than 50, 000 PKR as net profit, after meeting all expenses. Besides supporting my family, I am glad to help many others to run their families. I am proud Fiza.
A naive girl carrying glittering thoughts in her imagination was wandering to learn the art of fashion designing. She has had lost her father and wished to support the family. By a fortune she entered into one of the TEVTA institute that promised to translate her imaginations on fabric and provide a takeoff to her career. And that was not a forge promise. Just after completion of her course she earned job of an art teacher in a renowned local school. At school she is not just making good salary to support her family but also helping new generation to become skillful artist. She is Sonia, she is Me.
