Textile Designing

Textile design is an essential aspect of the Design  processes, and for many fashion brands having unique prints and surfaces. In this course, student will learn about textile design developemnt, different techniques, and materials used. The students will also be able to understand the importance of textile design and relationship with textile fashion, interior, apperal, home furnishing and printed phase on fabric.

• Artistic and Creative skills Conceptualization of new designs.
• Creating design samples.
• Textile Techniques like, Hand Embroidery, Embelishment, Tie & Dye, Batik, Fabric Paint, Silk Paint .
• Differnt typed of Textile Repeats like, Block Repeat, Drop or Half-Drop Repeart, Dimond Repeat, Mirror Repeat, Brick Repeat.
• Experimenting with various hues, to select shades complimenting with each other.
• Designing the fabric, going in par with the current fashion trends.
• Knowledge of Texture, Patterns, Dying, Printing , and Processing.
• Computer related technique lke Adobe-Photoshop.
• Prblom solving skills.
• Asthetic, color coordinations, Technical Knowledge and Commercial Knowledge about Textile Industries.
