HISTORY

Agriculture, also known as farming, is the act of cultivating crops and livestock. Agriculture was the primary growth factor in the development of the sedentary human civilisation, which was the reason that domestication of species resulted in food surpluses, which allowed urban dwellers to live. After gathering wild grain beginning about 105,000 years ago, the nascent farmers began planting the seeds around 11,500 years ago.
