This curriculum has been designed for capacity building of human resources (male/female including housewives). This training program has been designed to grow hygienic and fresh vegetables for domestic needs within the economical budget. The additional benefits of this course are availability of fresh vegetables, greenery, relaxing from the pressure of urban environment, healthy use of spare time and light exercise.

On successful completion of this training course, the trainee should be able to:

  • Prepare land for vegetables cultivation.
  • Grow vegetables according to recommended planning geometry.
  • Grow nursery of vegetables like Onion, Tomato, Brinjals, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Broccoli etc.
  • Irrigate the field according to the requirement.
  • Handle field practices like Houng, Weeding, Earthing-up etc.
  • Harvest vegetables properly and timely.
